Refugees have had to flee for their lives from war and persecution. They live in vulnerable and precarious situations and need protection and opportunities to build a new life.
There are over 26 million refugees globally. These men, women, and children have often been displaced by war, persecution and violence. Many live in very difficult conditions and struggle with food insecurity and poverty.
Our organization along with other partnered community entities have managed to support, settle, assist, and integrate the refugees at best of our abilities and availability. These refugees who have been sponsored and settled by our organization(s) have received utmost settlement services by our experienced and highly professional staff/volunteers, and additionally, they have been introduced to the settlement agencies in their settlement residency ridings for extended settlement services. The Afghan and non-Afghan communities in the province of Ontario have been kind enough to extend their financial, employment, staffing/volunteering, and in-kind support at all times. They have been the wheel behind our success. We always put the utmost effort to involve all the communities in our refugee sponsorship and resettlement services which the result has been extraordinarily effective and productive.
The PSR (Private Sponsorship Refuge) Program allows Canadian citizens, as well as permanent residents, an opportunity to help sponsor refugees to Canada.
